Megan Miller, PhD, RN, was awarded a Palliative and Supportive Care DOT Faculty Pilot Grant to support the study Trajectories of Spiritual Well-being and Symptoms Over Time among Adults with Cancer. The study is funded by the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center.
The primary goals of this project are to examine changes in spiritual well-being and cancer-related symptoms over time among adults with cancer (starting from the beginning of cancer-directed treatment, through the first year). The hope is to better understand trajectories of spiritual well-being and cancer-related symptoms in order to develop holistic symptom management strategies that are responsive to patients’ unique and evolving needs.
The investigative team includes Dr. Roger Brown. The total award is $61,700.
