Kitty Montgomery, PhD, RN, PCNS-BC, was awarded a one-year Mattie Miracle Cancer Foundation (MMCF) Research Grant funded by the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses to support the study Risk-Stratified Approaches to Symptom Management for Children with Advanced Cancer. The primary goal of Dr. Montgomery’s project is to address the challenge of persistent symptom suffering in children with advanced cancer and develop novel approaches to adhere to symptom management as part of palliative care as a standard of care in pediatric oncology.
The investigative team includes Dr. Jennifer Raybin (Oregon Health & Science University) and Dr. Kat Phelps (Wisconsin Network for Research Support).
