Lisa Bratzke, PhD, RN, ANP-BC, FAHA, was awarded a Jonas Scholars grant to support the School of Nursing Scholarship Program. The project is funded by the American Association of Colleges and Nursing. The primary goal is to improve health care by expanding the pool of PhD and DNP-prepared nurses needed to educate the next generation of nurse leaders. The total award is $24,000.
PhD students Cierra McCoy, BSN, RN, and Kelly Krainak, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, have been selected to participate in the 2024–2026 Jonas Scholars Program. As Jonas Scholars, Cierra McCoy and Kelly Krainak will spend two years learning from nationwide nursing experts and developing new skills to transition into a nursing faculty role.
