Dr. Tonya Roberts, PhD, RN, was awarded a Vilas Life Cycle Professorship grant to support the study Optimizing Person-Centered Care for Nursing Home Residents. The study is funded by the Women in Science and Engineering Leadership Institute (WISELI) through generous support from the Trustees of the William F. Vilas Trust. The primary research aims are to describe older adult daily care preferences, examine the impact of preference-congruent care, and identify future targets for technological interventions to optimize person-centered care delivery in nursing homes.
