
Rachel Odes, PhD, RN, was awarded a 2025 Patient Engaged Partnership Research Award to support the project Community Definitions of Safety during Mental Health Crisis Response. The project is co-sponsored by the University of Wisconsin Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) and the Wisconsin Partnership Program (WPP).
The primary goal of Dr. Odes’ project is to improve understanding of diverse Wisconsin community members’ experiences of safety during mental health crisis response through focus groups and qualitative analysis. The investigative team includes Drs. Jeneile Luebke and Lynette Studer (School of Social Work). Partners include Kristin Bonamo (NAMI Northern Lakes) and Ché Stedman (emergency response expertise). The total award is $99,580.
