Dr. Linsey Steege, PhD, was awarded a grant to support the study Sleep and Fatigue during Covid-19 in Health Care Workers (SAFE-CARE study 2). The study is funded by the American Nurses Foundation. The primary research aim is to conduct a nationwide cross-sectional survey of registered nurses working in direct patient care roles in hospital settings to address factors related to sleep, fatigue, and burnout during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The investigative team includes a subcontract to Dr. Knar Sagherian (Co-PI) and Dr. Clea McNelley (statistical consultant), both at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
