Barb King, PhD, RN, APRN-BC, FAAN, and the Center for Aging Research and Education (CARE) were awarded an Oscar Rennebohm Foundation grant to support the study CARE U: Improving Health and Wellbeing of Older Adults in Dane County by Enhancing Direct Caregiver Readiness. The primary goal of the project is to meet the needs of Dane County’s eldercare workforce and expand the reach of a proven program through the organization of a day-long CARE U workshop for direct care staff and a train-the-trainer program to prepare health educators to deliver the CARE U curriculum.
Community network partners include the Wisconsin Area Health Education Centers. The investigative team includes Paula Bizot and Drs. Diane Farsetta, Tonya Roberts and Lisa Bratzke. The total award is $121,026.
