
The Nursing Center for Aging Research and Education (CARE) was awarded a Greater Milwaukee Foundation grant to support the study Supporting Healthy Aging for Hispanic/Latino Elders via Bilingual Direct Care Workforce Training. The primary goal of the project is to support healthy aging and reduce disparities in care in the Milwaukee Hispanic/Latino community by providing bilingual, evidence-based training for the older adult direct care workforce.
Community network partners include the Wisconsin Area Health Education Centers. The Principal Investigator is Dr. Tonya Roberts, and the investigative team includes Paula Bizot and Drs. Diane Farsetta, Barb King, and Lisa Bratzke. The total award is $87,400.
