Dr. Katie Pavek Awarded Grant to Study Human Flourishing

Katie Pavek, PhD, MSN, RN, was awarded the inaugural Barbara Gruendemann Faculty Fellowship grant to support the project U-Flourish: The Art & Science of Human Flourishing. The purpose of the award is to support clinical faculty in cultivating and advancing a program of scholarship that fosters innovations in nursing education and practice through a mentored fellowship. The project is awarded by the School of Nursing Research and Scholarship Committee. The primary goal of Dr. Pavek’s project is to integrate evidence-based wellness strategies into the School of Nursing curriculum to support positive coping and resilience. The project team includes Lisa Bratzke PhD, RN, ANP-BC, FAHA (mentor) and Diamond Williams DrPH, MPH (collaborator). The project also benefits from support via the Center for Healthy Minds instructional team and the UW-Madison Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring.
