
UW–Madison School of Nursing faculty participate in outreach efforts to identify priorities within the community, engaging with others to build authentic and mutually beneficial relationships.
Faculty use evidence-based practices to empower patients.
Their scholarship focuses on:
- Sharing information and expertise with the public in community forums such as presentations, simulation activities, and health care fairs.
- Providing health education outreach to urban and rural communities about various topics including geriatric care, maternal health, mental health, and global and planetary health.
- Participating in Academic Practice Partnerships (APP) to support scholarly projects and collaborations between research and clinical nursing.
