Beth Zahn is a Clinical Instructor at the UW-Madison School of Nursing. Beth began teaching for UW-Madison in 2021 and has been teaching nursing clinicals for over 14 years in various hospitals in the Kenosha, Milwaukee and Madison areas. Her clinical practice focused on medical surgical patients.
Clinical Scholarship focus areas
Teaching and Learning
- Teach clinical for the 300-level courses (N316, N326 and N327) presently at UWHC and conduct post conference activities with my groups.
- Teach nursing skills in 300-level lab sections for my clinical groups following the lesson plans developed for the concept of the week.
- Presently a member of the 300-level lesson plan revision committee (N316, N326 and N327).
- Participated in the clinical judgement fellowship Spring 2023.
- Presently a member of committee developing a clinical judgement onboarding video for new faculty and new students.
Professional Practice and Education
- Professional practice has been primarily in the areas of medical surgical nursing.
- Have practiced in the settings of various hospitals, home health, medical clinic, and nursing home. Have been a nurse educator for 14 years.
- Obtained the CNE (Certified Nurse Educator) certification in 2020.
