Dr. Sheng’s program of research aims to mitigate cancer risk and improve cancer control through health behavior approaches, particularly in underrepresented minority populations. Using qualitative and quantitative research methods, Dr. Sheng investigates physical activity determinants, explores physical activity’s impact on cancer-related biomarkers, and designs culturally appropriate interventions for cancer risk reduction.
