Dave Dwyer believes that nurses should strive to practice at the full extent of their education and training. He currently teaches in the undergraduate program, focusing on acute care and health care systems. Dave has a national certification in nursing leadership and has been a unit manager for intensive and general care units. He has practiced at the acute care bedside at the ICU, IMC and general care levels, in addition to being a school nurse. His research interest focuses on recipients of implanted left ventricular assist devices.
