Dr. David Dwyer is a Clinical Professor at the UW-Madison School of Nursing. David has practiced at the bedside in acute care at the Intensive, Intermediate and General Care levels in addition to practice as a school nurse and in home care with a ventilator-dependent client. He has been a nurse manager of the Cardiac/Thoracic Surgery and Heart/Lung Transplant acuity adaptable unit, the Heart and Vascular Surgery progressive care unit and Burn unit (among others). David is fully invested in the undergraduate program and teaches courses on health care systems, research and evidence-based practice. He serves as course coordinator for the BSN@Home baccalaureate degree completion program.
