Five Faculty and Students Receive Awards from MNRS

Three School of Nursing faculty members and two PhD students have received awards from the Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS).

The award recipients are:

  • Barb King, PhD, RN, APRN-BC, FAAN, received the 2025 Mid-Career Award from the MNRS Acute & Critical Care Across Lifespan Research & Interest Implementation Group.
  • Kitty Montgomery, PhD, RN, PCNS-BC, received the 2025 Early Career Award from the MNRS Pediatrics Research & Interest Implementation Group.
  • Jingxi Sheng, PhD, RN, received the 2025 Early Career Award from the MNRS Health Promoting Behaviors Across the Lifespan Research & Interest Implementation Group.
  • Mays Basha, BSN, MSN, RN, PhD student, received the 2025 Graduate Student Award from the MNRS Palliative and End-of-Life Care Research & Implementation Interest Group.
  • Rachel Hawn, BSN, RN, PhD student, received the 2025 MNRS Joseph & Jean Buckwalter Dissertation Grant
