Dr. Andrea Gilmore-Bykovskyi Awarded Grant from National Institute of Aging

Dr. Andrea Gilmore-Bykovskyi (site principal investigator) and Dr. Whitney Wharton (principal investigator, Emory University, School of Nursing) were awarded an R24 grant to support the study Building Community and Research Engagement among Sexual and Gender Minority Older Adults at Risk for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias.  The study is funded by the National Institute of Aging. The primary research aim is to increase engagement, recruitment, inclusion, and retention of sexual and gender minority individuals in clinical aging related research using a community based participatory approach, including the implementation of a national research registry. The total subaward costs are $40,669. Congratulations to Dr. Gilmore-Bykovskyi!
