Practice Experience and Interests
Shoua is a first-year PhD student and researcher at the UW–Madison School of Nursing, collaborating with Dr. Lor and Dr. Alnuaimi. She has three years of research experience focusing on Hmong health and working as a student nurse assistant at UW-Hospital. Shoua’s research focuses on perinatal care nursing and reproductive health outcomes, specifically those with high-risk pregnancies, with the goal of developing culturally appropriate interventions to reduce adverse maternal-child health outcomes in racial and ethnic populations.
