Education: BSN, Edgewood University

Clinical Experience: Over 16 years experience spanning critical care, home health, geriatrics, and psychiatric nursing. At UW Hospital, served as a float/resource nurse, geriatric resource nurse, preceptor, charge nurse, and leading diversity and cultural congruence initiatives. In geropsych, partnered with managed care organizations to help assisted living facilities bridge gaps between residents’ behavioral health needs and staff/administrative systems successfully preventing discharges .

Scholarly Interests: I am interested in improving behavioral health across the lifespan. With plans of developing behavioral support plans for geriatric psychiatric needs in long-term care, and creating school-based programs that teach social-emotional skills, prevent substance use, and bring mental health education into K–12 classrooms.

Advanced practice goals: To advance care in geriatric psychiatry by improving behavioral health support in long-term care, and to expand mental health outreach in K–12 settings through education, prevention, and early intervention.
