Practice Experience & Interests:

Kelly Krainak is a second-year PhD student in the School of Nursing and a project assistant for Dr. Megan Miller. She is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. Her DNP project, Weight Support: Implementing Feminist Therapy for a Women’s Group, centered on an evaluation of Western, androcentric attitudes of gender and image in re-contextualizing underlying pathologies of disordered eating. Her current research interests include the compounding impacts of climate, environment, and health disparity among West Virginians.
