Clinical experience: Parizod has extensive clinical experience in maternal and infant health. She worked as a nurse in the Mother and Infant Unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where she provided direct care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a high-acuity setting. She has served as a Perinatal Hepatitis Nurse Case Manager at the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, coordinating care for at-risk mothers and infants, ensuring appropriate follow-up, and supporting families.
Scholarly interests: Adult primary care, maternal-infant health, and public health nursing.
Advanced practice goals: To become an Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, advancing expertise in primary and preventive care, and contributing to improved health outcomes for diverse and aging populations. Clinical interests include chronic disease management, women’s and maternal health, and public health approaches to preventive medicine and care coordination.
