Biography
Education: BSN, UW-Madison; BS in Conservation Biology, German, and Environmental Studies, UW-Madison
Clinical experience: Two years at UPH – Meriter Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Unit; currently at OrchestraX, a community mental health organization, providing behavioral health and recovery services.
Scholarly interests: Intersection of physical and mental health; psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy; improving access to quality mental health care in rural communities; and mindfulness-based interventions.
Advanced practice goals: Utilizing holistic approaches to address both physical and mental health needs, and exploring innovative treatments like psychedelic-assisted therapy and mindfulness. Sophia is dedicated to improving and expanding access to mental health care in rural and underserved communities.
