Education: BSN, Winona State University

Clinical Experience: Over two years at University Hospital on the Cardiology IMC unit as a bedside RN as well as operating in the role of Inpatient Diabetes Resource Nurse.

Scholarly Interests: Increasing holistic patient education and treatment related to heart failure management and creating increased access to diabetes care resources for underserved populations.

Advanced Practice Goal and Clinical Interests: To work with older adults within the inpatient setting that have complex medical needs, especially those with heart failure and/or cardiovascular disease. Clinical interests include evidence-based practice, patient education, transitional care, adult/gerontology as well as social determinants of health and their impact on patient-centered care delivery.
