Clinical Experience: As a nurse, three years at University Hospital as a bedside nurse first on the Family Medicine and Forensics Unit, then general care float pool. As a social worker, two years as a crisis stabilization worker in a mental health crisis stabilization facility. Five years as an adult mental health case manager.
Scholarly Interests: Improving equity of mental health care access.
Advanced Practice Goal & Clinical Interests: To provide equitable care by working to break down systemic barriers to care at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels. Clinically I am interested in providing mental health care to a variety of individuals. I have yet to work with a population I have not enjoyed and am excited to have additional experiences. Thus far I am most interested in working with persons who are pregnant or recently pregnant, identify as LGBTQ+, and those navigating the stressful criminal justice system.
