Practice Experience & Interests: Ms. Orshak is a PhD candidate in the School of Nursing and an RN on a Medical/Surgical/Neurology unit at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. She also has a Master’s Degree in Women’s Studies from San Diego State University in California. Her research interests are a natural extension of her knowledge, skills, and clinical expertise. The overarching goal of her program of research is to design, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to improve women’s health, especially the cardiovascular health of young women veterans who receive care in the Department of Veterans Affairs.
