Frances Monroe Jennings, MS’95, retired in 2012, after a thirty-three-year nursing career.  She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Corpus Christi State University in Texas. Her practice spanned five states—Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin—and focused on roles in the pediatric ICU, adult ICU and CCU, emergency department, and recovery room.  Jennings taught nursing at Moraine Park Technical College in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, for fourteen years and worked as a prison nurse in Waupun, Wisconsin, for ten years.  She held certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), trauma nursing (TNCC, ENPC, CATN II), and as a certified emergency nurse (CEN). After retirement, she welcomed the invitation to join the NAO Board of Directors as a way to continue serving the profession of nursing and the nursing alumni of UW–Madison. She currently lives in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, competes in triathlons, and serves the community as a life guard and swim team coach.
