Practice Experience & Interests: Liz Collins is a 2nd year student in the PhD program. She worked as a staff nurse at Duke University in the MICU and practiced in the SICU at Landstuhl Army Medical Center in Germany. She has earned her Certification in Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and as Certified Nurse Educator (CNE). Liz worked as a nurse at the NIH in Cardiac Research and most recently taught as a Clinical Instructor II at the UW- School of Nursing. Her research interest is in understanding ageism and how it may be linked to falls and fall prevention in the community dwelling older adult.
