Practice Experience & Interests

Ms. Block’s research aims to develop tailored interventions for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) who have complex biopsychosocial needs. Her dissertation research focuses on understanding how the intersection of ADRD and serious mental illness (SMI) drives unique symptoms, care needs, and outcomes among nursing home residents. Ms. Block has practiced as a RN in long-term care and has supported research in both the Roberts and Gilmore-Bykovskyi Labs.
